TOPPER
"An update on our previously featured
greyhound... TOPPER"
On Sept. 4th, Topper, the beautiful
white/fawn boy bid farewell to his loving MI foster home and entered the
Ohio greyhound prison program where he will be "in training" for another
month. This is an outstanding program whereby rescue dogs are
accepted into a correctional facility, are assigned to a handler for
their training period which is a 24/7 time commitment for the dog and
that person. Topper will be learning all aspects of obedience training
and when he is "paroled", he will be a well trained greyhound who will
be ready for adoption. We have received some reports on Topper and he
is doing very well; we are all very anxious for the completion of his
training program so that he can then find his forever home. Stay tuned
as we will update his profile with information as we get it. Topper
is GPA-MI's first greyhound to be accepted into this program and we are
excited that he has this opportunity for top-notch training; he will
be one outstanding pet!
